The Bormida Valley

This is one of the main valley in Liguria for its particular geographic position between the coast of Savona and the lower Piedmont region. The territory is mainly extended in a large variety of woods which during the changing of the seasons become a very artistic photographic landscapes variety. The Bormida river is in reality composed of 4 Bormidas which crosses the main centres of the valley. The Liguria Mountains High Way itinerary has here many interesting points and crossing the Cadibona pass where the Alps meets the Appennines.
