I libri possono attraversare i monti Quelli che amano il mare, e in Liguria si sa lo amano tutti, lo vedono come il "messaggio nella bottiglia" ma è bello pensarlo anche mentre attraversa fiumi, valli e monti, da un paese all'altro, in una tasca dello zaino: il libro. E quando il viaggio è finito, e forse è finita anche la lettura, allora lo si lascia dove ci si trova, in un ostello, in un rifugio, in una casa colonica, in una chiesetta, in un agriturismo o in una vetrina con la carta segnaletica, corredato magari dei propri appunti o impressioni di viaggio che lo renderanno forse unico e che potrà far piacere condividere con il prossimo che si troverà a passare da quelle parti spostando così il mondo delle cose a quello delle idee. Il Book Crossing, è nato da una idea di Ron Hornbaker, un informatico di Kansas City, che l'ha messa in pratica creando un sito ad hoc per registrane i dati ed il cammino, vuole far viaggiare i libri e con essi le persone attraverso nuovi paesaggi, veri o immaginati. L'idea semplice, ma al tempo stesso geniale e un pò romantica, è di non tenere i libri relegati in uno scaffale a impolverirsi, ma di prenderli, rileggerli magari e poi portandoli con noi in viaggio ai monti (ma anche al mare) lasciarli appunto in altri luoghi per far sì che altre persone li possano leggere. L'idea sarebbe che poi fossero a loro volta lasciati in giro e quando trovati registrati sul sito per sapere dove sono unendo così il percorso virtuale con quello reale. |
Books can cross the mountains Those who love the sea, and in Liguria you know everybody loves it, they see it like the "message in the bottle" but it is also nice to think that it can cross rivers, valleys and mountains, from village to village, in a backpak pocket: the book. And when the journey is over and you have probably also finished to read the book, then you can leave it where you are, in a hostel, in a country home, in a small church, in a farm house or in a map window. You could also write some of your impression in order to share them with those who follows and to make it so something unique. Book Crossing is an idea of an informatic guy, Ron Hornbaker from Kansas City, and for which he has created an ad-hoc site where you can register the book with its data, in order to follow it along the path through real and unreal landscapes. The simple but romantic idea is not to keep your books in your library, waiting only for the dust, but to take them and perhaps read again and then bring them around our mountains itineraries (but it is also true for those who goes to the beach) and give the possibility to others to read them. The idea behind it is to leave them again, to register them in order to let them know where they go and joining so the virtual with the real journey. |
