The Salt Roads

The Liguria Mountains High Way itinerary  collects many of the ancient roads which where leading from the coast to Piedmont for goods exchange. They were so named "Salt roads" as the salt, very precious in ancient times, was transported to the north and taking back new goods for the riviera villages.
