The Scrivia Mountain Community Enrico Pelos General This itinerary starts from Genoa and following the road to the Giovi pass you come to Campomorone, Busalla and then to Ronco Scrivia, with an interesting medieval bridge, and then to Isola del Cantone, and Vobbia, with its unique castel. From here the road descendes to Savignone, a populated summer resort, and Casella. Casella has been the regular destination of people on holiday, those who love good food and enjoy the peacefulness of the cool shade of age-long trees. Thanks to the trees Casella has gained the desiderable designation of "Pearl of the Scrivia Valley". You can also reach Casella from Genoa by the picturesque narrow-gauge Casella train, known and esteemed abroad. You can see the village softly lying between Mount Maggio and the Scrivia river. Continuing the main road, pass Montoggio and arrive in Torriglia a tiny so called "Switzerland of Liguria", a nice holiday resort with the ruin of its Fieschi castle and starting poiint of many trekking itineraries like the ones to Antola park near the Trebbia Valley and the big Brugneto, artificial lake with many small villages in the peace of the woods and where you can eat very well almost everywhere at very reasonable prices ravioli and mushrooms with typical red wines like Polcevera or Morasca.
